Built for MSSPs: How SecureCyber Uses Securonix to Deliver MDXR Across Tenants with Speed and Precision
SecureCyber, a Dayton, Ohio MSSP, replaced a slow legacy SIEM with Securonix's cloud-native multitenant platform, cutting new-customer onboarding from a month to under a week and unifying visibility across cloud, firewall and server data.

About SecureCyber
SecureCyber is a global Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) based in Dayton, Ohio. Over roughly a decade it has built a reputation for safeguarding critical infrastructure across financial services, local government (SLED) and manufacturing. With more than 20 employees and a customer base in some of the most sensitive verticals, SecureCyber offers Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR), compliance advisory, and managed firewall and network services.
The challenge
SecureCyber serves customers in high-stakes sectors such as financial services, local government (SLED) and manufacturing, where timely, comprehensive threat detection and response is the core of its Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) service. Before adopting Securonix, its security operations were constrained by a sluggish legacy SIEM.
Search results were delayed, so investigations were slow. The platform offered limited support for modern cloud telemetry, could not scale, and could not run meaningful cross-tenant analytics. Extracting actionable insight from customer data was difficult, and analysts lacked the contextual information and operational efficiency needed to protect diverse, complex customer environments. Onboarding a new customer took about a month.
SecureCyber wanted a modern, cloud-native SIEM that could ingest diverse data sources seamlessly, support multitenancy, and provide rich analytics to empower its analysts and allow it to expand services to new customers with confidence.
With our previous SIEM, onboarding a new customer took a month. With Securonix, we can do it in under a week, with full visibility across cloud, firewall, and server data sources. That speed, combined with Securonix's multitenant architecture and rich analytics, gives us a real edge in the MSSP market.
The solution
SecureCyber adopted Securonix as the backbone of its next-generation MXDR service. Securonix's cloud-native, multitenant SIEM lets the MSSP manage many customer environments on one platform, and its scalability supports rapid growth as new customers are added.
User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) gives analysts immediate context into user activity and threats. SecureCyber now has better visibility into customers' Active Directory environments and can tie firewall logs and authentication data back to individual users. Integrated geolocation mapping and customizable visual dashboards add further context, so analysts can proactively detect and respond to threats rather than simply forwarding alerts.
Robust API support and seamless ingestion of telemetry from cloud, on-premises and hybrid sources unified the view across cloud, firewall and server data. That breadth of ingestion, combined with the platform's intuitive design, allowed SecureCyber to streamline analyst workflows to the point where one analyst can manage the entire platform, and to cut new-customer setup from a month to under a week.
The results
- 75% faster onboarding: new-customer setup fell from a month to under a week
- Unified visibility across cloud, firewall and server data sources
- One analyst can manage the entire platform, streamlining analyst workflows
- Full-spectrum threat visibility, with UEBA tying firewall logs and authentication data back to users
- Proactive investigations rather than alert forwarding, giving SecureCyber an edge in the MSSP market
