GardaWorld protects their customers' cash; we protect theirs.
GardaWorld's Cash Services unit, with 200+ locations across North America, moved its wireline, mobile and collaboration services under vCom Solutions' management, consolidating hundreds of monthly invoices into a single bill integrated with its ERP.

About GardaWorld
GardaWorld provides comprehensive cash management solutions for banking and retail businesses. Its Cash Services platform, established in Quebec, Ontario and across the United States, has the most expansive footprint in North America. Some 10,000 cash services employees process more than $5 billion in currency each month from 200+ secure transaction centers, handling around 100,000 daily pick-ups. GardaWorld's technology and logistics expertise help clients move and process cash securely, which makes reliable voice and data networks critical to its operations.

The challenge
GardaWorld's Cash Services platform requires 100% uptime for its voice and data networks to ensure the safety of its employees, protect clients' valuables and process client transactions on time. With a national footprint, the company demands strict security and uptime from its network.
Before vCom, GardaWorld managed multiple telecom and data carriers, multiple technologies and hundreds of monthly invoices. Its 200+ locations went through frequent critical changes, so the installation and ongoing support of an expanding network were critical to keeping the business running without interruption. A complex cost allocation scheme added further overhead to invoice processing, and manual invoice handling tied up staff time.
GardaWorld needed a partner with the expertise to design a fault-tolerant architecture, vet and source carriers, manage its wireline, mobile and collaboration spend, and streamline its processes.
Our 20-year partnership with vCom continues to grow. QuantumShift, vCom's buyers' club, affords us the value of consolidating a myriad of best-of-breed service providers across multiple technologies and geographies on one invoice and through one team, while maintaining the level of service we have grown accustomed to from vCom.
The solution
GardaWorld migrated all of its services to vCom, a single managed service provider that understood its stringent requirements and negotiated with various carriers to meet its needs. All services and inventory were consolidated under vCom's purview and are managed through vManager, vCom's cloud-based management platform. Sourcing, order management, trouble escalation, service changes and inventory are handled by vCom's professional services team.
To ensure fault tolerance and uptime, vCom worked closely with GardaWorld's IT team to identify requirements, source carrier options and manage deployment, sourcing and installing best-of-breed network services. vCom also customized reporting and enhanced vManager's functionality to fit GardaWorld's business needs.
On the billing side, GardaWorld now receives a single bill for its many wireline and collaboration services. Mobile invoices are standardized and automatically GL-coded each month. Custom-designed GL coding and AP posting integrate directly with GardaWorld's J.D. Edwards ERP system to satisfy its complex cost allocation scheme and eliminate manual labor. Through QuantumShift, vCom's buyers' club, GardaWorld consolidates best-of-breed service providers across technologies and geographies on one invoice and through one team.
