Cyber-First IT for Scalable, Secure, and Compliant Senior Care
Maplewood Senior Living, operator of 16 luxury communities across the Northeast with 1,400+ employees, uses Logically's cyber-first managed IT to standardize infrastructure, meet SOC and HIPAA-aligned requirements and deploy nurse call and resident monitoring.

About Maplewood Senior Living
Based in Westport, Connecticut, Maplewood Senior Living operates 16 luxury communities across the Northeast, offering a full continuum of care from independent and assisted living to memory care and rehabilitation. With over 1,400 employees supporting hundreds of residents, its mission is to exceed expectations in every dimension of care, safety and service. Digital systems are mission-critical to that work, powering nurse call technology, EHR systems and resident monitoring tools that must run securely and without interruption.

The challenge
Prior to working with Logically, Maplewood experienced inconsistent support from IT providers, leading to costly downtime and siloed infrastructure across its communities. With growth accelerating and new communities coming online, the organization could not keep managing technology community by community.
Maplewood needed to implement a standardized, secure IT strategy across all 16 communities, meet SOC compliance requirements and support HIPAA-aligned operations. It had to protect sensitive resident data while enabling mobile and remote access for staff, and deploy and maintain custom healthcare technologies such as nurse call, tracking and point-of-sale systems.
With increasing regulatory scrutiny and heightened cyber threats targeting healthcare providers, Maplewood needed more than a troubleshooter. It wanted a strategic provider able to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure and guide the organization forward, because in senior care these systems protect lives, ensure compliance and uphold trust with residents and their families.
From regulatory readiness to daily operations, Logically helps us manage risk, scale smartly, and stay focused on what matters most—our residents.
The solution
Logically deployed a cyber-first, compliance-ready IT strategy tailored to Maplewood's operational and regulatory needs.
The engagement began with network infrastructure design and deployment for new and existing communities, establishing a common standard across the portfolio. Logically provided SOC compliance support, including policy alignment, documentation and controls, and rolled out advanced security tools and anti-threat protection across all locations.
Logically also implemented the healthcare-enabling technologies that Maplewood's communities depend on, including resident monitoring, nurse call systems and POS system integration. Remote workforce enablement gave staff secure access during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Tom Caprio, Maplewood's Director of Information Technology, said Logically was integral in enabling the services that keep clients' sensitive, personal and health information secure and confidential.
With a new flagship community opening in Princeton, New Jersey, Logically is responsible for deploying the secure, high-availability infrastructure that will power the expansion, ensuring every resident interaction is backed by resilient, cyber-secure technology.

The results
- Standardized IT strategy across 16 locations for greater control and scalability
- Improved cybersecurity posture and reduced organizational risk
