Cyber-First IT That Enables Resilient, Compliant Care Delivery Across 50+ Locations
Catholic Charities Maine, a non-profit serving 50,000 people a year across 50+ locations, relies on Logically for cyber-first, HIPAA-aligned managed IT, including a fiber WAN transformation that has delivered zero major outages.

About Catholic Charities Maine
Catholic Charities Maine (CCM) is one of the state's largest non-profit social service agencies, supporting over 50,000 people annually across more than 50 locations. Its programs span behavioral health and addiction recovery, child development and refugee services, as well as health, education and community outreach. CCM operates in highly regulated environments where uptime, data security and mobility are essential, with many services delivered in the field on mobile devices by a decentralized workforce.

The challenge
Before partnering with Logically, CCM worked with another IT provider that offered limited visibility and fragmented support. Outages caused downtime that disrupted services and access to care, and the network could not easily scale across the agency's growing multi-site footprint.
There was little proactive security planning and no clear path to cloud enablement. Outdated infrastructure and limited mobile support raised compliance concerns, a serious issue for an organization that must protect sensitive client data in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
As Greg Fennell, CCM's Director of IT, put it, an organization in healthcare and human services cannot afford to be down and cannot afford to be out of compliance. CCM needed a long-term IT strategy rooted in resilience, compliance and secure scalability, with the mobility to support staff delivering services in the field.
We're in healthcare and human services, so we can't afford to be down—and we can't afford to be out of compliance. Logically gives us the stability, strategy, and security to move forward.
The solution
Logically deployed a cyber-first, compliance-aligned IT strategy that has evolved with CCM's mission and growth over more than 15 years.
A proactive fiber WAN transformation across all locations gave the agency speed, stability and room to scale. Logically provides 24/7 monitoring, patching and security updates to reduce cyber risk and maintain uptime, along with HIPAA-aligned endpoint protection and access controls to safeguard client data. Disaster recovery planning and backup infrastructure support business continuity.
To enable the field workforce, Logically delivered remote workforce enablement through secure access to cloud-hosted services and mobility tools, so staff can log in from any location and document care in real time.
The relationship is run as a strategic partnership rather than break-fix support. Weekly forecasting meetings align IT strategy with program growth and compliance needs, and Fennell says the two organizations plan months and years out together, with Logically helping CCM make better IT decisions every week.
